Notice

Due to scanner issues, I will not be uploading any drawn schematics for the forseeable future, so hang in there, guys, we'll get it fixed. I apologize for this inconvinience.

As a point of interest, I will be uploading some internet schematics and theoretical drawings of a railgun. Until then, folks...

Beretta Civilian Carbine

Now this is awsome: Recently, Beretta came out with a civilian carbine. Semi-auto, can take rounds from 9mm to .45, and it's got a shitload of rails to mount things on. I am impressed. Soon's I'm 18, this is what i'm getting. Max range is like 200 meters, too.

AR + Chainsaw = ?

If someone actually built an assault rifle with a chainsaw on the bottom, I highly doubt that it would find any use on the battlefield with soldiers; however, the SWAT teams could use it like a 2 for 1 deal...then they wouldn't have to use shotties to take down the door, they could just, like, rip right through it. Think of how f*****g scary that would be--a bunch of masked, armored men come in the door, and the chainsaws are running...that would be scary as hell! I'll also upload a pic of that tomorrow, I think.

(10 minutes later)

You know, that might just work. If you had a separate cell on the side of the gun, you could use a weaver mount to put the chainsaw assembly on...of course, it would have to be made of carbon or something to make it light. Use a 6.8mm round in the rifle, and you got it made! Wonder if I could sell this to the local PD...

Railgun Update

If I coat the rails in teflon for the first 2 feet or so, maybe thay won't be fried so badly. Also, the wires should probably be stereo grade...shit, this is going to cost a bunch. Oh yeah, I found out that this thing can fire a projectile at 2000 FPS. That is really goddamned fast. Like, that's faster than a sniper bullet. Holy H. Christ. Hmmm. I wonder if that's actually legal, since it isn't a firearm. If I fire it in the country into a dirt mound...and if I reinforce said mound with concrete...yes, I think that would work.

Making prints for this, I'll upload them via scanner, probably tomorrow. Oh yeah, if the FBI or CIA or whatever is looking at this, hi! I love you guys!

Railgun

So the railgun is a launcher that is based on the Lorentz Force. It utilizes two parallel rails that are bridged by a bar of metal (iron...?) that is called an armature. In front of it sits the projectile. A positive (+) current is connected to one rail, (I think the right one) and a negative (-) is connected to the other. When the power source is switched to "On", the current forces the armature forward, consequently forcing the projectile forward at high speeds.

I was going to build one of these, but my mom wouldn't let me use a few car batteries. Something about electrifying myself. Bullshit. Anyway, the railgun requires an enormous amount of power, therefore I would need...say, 4 car batteries. Oh yeah, if you have any electronics around (such as phones, computers, cameras...) they'll get kinda f****d up when the gun fires, because there is an enormous ammount of tesla (lightning) output, and the EMP (electromagnetic pulse!!!) will fry the shit out of the wires.

This is going to be a project for this summer. List of items I will need:

2 bars solid titanium (3/4", 4' long)
1 flat surface (probably a 3" thick piece of plywood)
2 packs of hose clamps (1/4", extra-strong)
5 shitloads of high-voltage wire
1 10-pack of high voltage capacitors
4 maximum charge car batteries (preferably lithium)
2 toggle switches (in case one breaks)
1 Solder Pen
1 can Teflon solution
And a lot of good luck.

Now it's just a matter of working up enough money to buy all this.

To Whom It May Concern

Hey everyone,

I have few hopes about many people viewing this page, but, hey, I've got a bunch of crazy-ass ideas. I hope there are other people out there who are like me. I will reserve some of my better ideas for later production, but this blog is dedicated to weapon blueprints/ideas and other sci-fi shit like that. Keeping in mind that most of these ideas would be plain silly to use in battle, it is fun to do this stuff. Okay? Alright. This is Echo, over and out!
